PANEL MODERATOR
Western Regional Manager at SLM Solutions NA
Terence has 25 years of design, engineering and manufacturing experience around simulation-based software. He teamed with many aerospace companies and projects to reduce mass and shorten product development cycles using topology optimization. In the early 2000’s these results needed to be interpreted and modified for traditional manufacturing. Today, because of powerful laser technology and various metal powders, these organic and efficient shapes can be printed using metal additive manufacturing technologies. While applicable and successful in industrial, medical and automotive sectors, the aerospace industry has seen the most adoption of this technology through process and certification. As an account manager, Terence helps companies with part reviews, 3D printing time studies, cost illustration reports and implementing SLM Solutions Machines into their R&D or production environments. Terence has both a ME Structural Engineering degree and a BS Civil Engineering degree from Wayne State University.
